Coogi clothing is a somewhat new Hip Hop Clothing line. Not originally associated with urban and Hip hop fashion culture,
it was popularized by rapper Biggie Smalls in the 1990s. At that point, it still was not considered a hip hop clothing
line, due to the high pricing. Until the brand was expanded internationally and collections added,
it was an Australian menswear worn by affluent travelers.
Most known for the colorful knitwear sweaters, Coogi clothing is much more today. There are Coogi jeans, sweaters,
hoodies, sets, and more. Taken over by an investment group led by Jimmy Khezri, the brand's direction has become
more urban and Hip Hop oriented. The team used their expansion to connect with a youth market by creating
more affordable clothing options.
